Houston-based Main Street Capital Corporation deployed $157.2 million in new and increased private loan commitments during the third quarter of 2026. The firm, which specializes in debt and equity solutions for lower middle market companies, wrapped the period with a total private loan portfolio valued at approximately $2.1 billion.

As of September 30, 2026, the portfolio spans 86 unique companies. The composition remains heavily weighted toward security, with 92.6% of the portfolio invested in first lien senior secured debt, while the remaining 7.4% is allocated to equity and other securities.
