Dongpeng Proposes Collaborative Model for Sustainable Supply Chains

At the 2026 UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in New York, Guangdong Dongpeng Holdings presented a strategy to bridge the gap between sustainability mandates and industrial execution. By focusing on supplier capability building and circular material innovation, the company aims to turn procurement requirements into tangible growth opportunities.

Dongpeng Proposes Collaborative Model for Sustainable Supply Chains

Ying He, vice chair and president of Dongpeng, joined global executives during the summit’s SPARK session to detail a "3E" approach: Educate, Engage, and Empower. This framework moves beyond simple compliance, integrating sustainability into supplier onboarding and evaluation while providing training to core partners. By aligning purchasing decisions with practical support, the company ensures that environmental targets are measurable and actionable.

Beyond administrative processes, Dongpeng is working with supply chain partners to repurpose industrial residues into non-fired eco-stone. This initiative combines material science with manufacturing expertise to create applications for urban furniture and architectural panels. The company’s participation in the UN’s High-Level Forum on Sustainable Procurement underscores its intent to scale these circular practices internationally, seeking collaborations that adapt to diverse market conditions and resource availability.
