As AI factories face tightening power constraints, cooling efficiency has become a primary driver of profitability. The LiquidJet Diamond builds on the company’s existing 3D ultra short-loop architecture by embedding diamond wafers directly at critical hotspot locations. This addition provides a 10°C reduction in die temperature beyond the 12°C drop achieved by the standard LiquidJet model, allowing GPUs to operate at higher power densities without performance throttling.
Frore Systems CEO Seshu Madhavapeddy stated that the technology can manage extreme hotspots of up to 770 W/cm², a capability that allows operators to squeeze more output from existing infrastructure. Given that new AI data centers require billions in capital expenditure, the ability to generate 35% more tokens using the same power budget serves as a strategic lever for hyperscalers. The company claims the coldplates also solve manufacturing scalability issues that have historically plagued alternative approaches like electrochemical additive manufacturing.
