This strategic move integrates the Italian firm into Midea’s healthcare division while keeping its headquarters and core manufacturing operations in Europe.
For Midea, the deal serves as a cornerstone for its expansion into the global medical imaging market. By merging Esaote’s specialized diagnostic portfolio with its own existing range of high-field MRI, CT, and DSA equipment, the group aims to offer a more diversified suite of medical technologies. Midea, which generated 64.3 billion dollars in global revenue in 2025, views the acquisition as a long-term commitment to scaling high-potential medical innovations for international markets.
