Canyon Partners Taps Chris Hansen to Lead Technology Strategy
Global alternative investment manager Canyon Partners has appointed Chris Hansen as Partner and Chief Information Officer, tasking the veteran executive with overseeing the firm’s data architecture and the integration of artificial intelligence across its $30 billion investment platform to sharpen research and risk evaluation capabilities.
Hansen brings a track record of digital transformation to the role. During his twelve-year tenure at TPG Angelo Gordon, he served as Managing Director and Head of Product and Application Development, where he led cloud migration projects and the overhaul of portfolio analytics. Before that, he managed Global Markets Electronic Trading Technology at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Jonathan Kaplan, Canyon’s Co-Chief Operating Officer, noted that Hansen’s experience at the intersection of investment management and technology is essential for identifying new market opportunities.
