A 161,000-square-foot facility in Milwaukee now bears the name of the Michels family, marking the culmination of a $27 million donation aimed at accelerating oncology research. The dedication ceremony on Monday solidified a partnership designed to push the boundaries of personalized cancer treatment in eastern Wisconsin.

Tim Michels emphasized that the contribution is intended to provide researchers with the resources necessary to pursue breakthroughs that move beyond traditional treatments. Shekar N. Kurpad, president and CEO of the institution, noted that the infusion of capital allows the college to sharpen its focus on precision medicine. The center is expected to serve as a cornerstone for future clinical advancements, bridging the gap between laboratory discovery and patient care.
