The four-month competition, which concluded in October, highlighted a shift toward integrated workflows where software like Character Creator and iClone serves as the backbone for both realistic digital doubles and stylized character design. Winners were selected across multiple disciplines, with top honors in realistic design going to Jimmy Watelle for his project "Jax: Soul of the Street," and Oscar Fernandez Gonzalez taking the stylized category for "Kohaku - Warden of Memories."
Industry support from partners including NVIDIA, Epic Games, and Unity underscored the growing importance of rapid iteration tools in modern 3D production. Participants consistently cited the ability to bypass traditional, labor-intensive processes—such as manual retopology or complex rigging—as the primary advantage of the Reallusion pipeline. Beyond the primary categories, the jury recognized 28 additional artists for their technical mastery in motion capture, costume design, and efficient pipeline integration, signaling a broader trend of individual creators achieving studio-grade results.
