The patent-pending system preserves the structural and aesthetic integrity of older properties by eliminating the standard requirement for wall-mounted fresh air piping. Beyond protecting home exteriors, the design aims to reduce labor hours for contractors and simplify installation for homeowners.
HVAC Technician Designs Chimney-Based Venting Solution
After four decades in the HVAC industry, a Mississauga-based inventor has developed the B Vent Adaptor to solve a common renovation problem. The device repurposes existing residential chimneys as dual-purpose conduits for both fresh air intake and exhaust, bypassing the need to cut new holes through a home’s exterior walls.

Submitted through the Toronto office of InventHelp, the adapter is currently being marketed for licensing or direct manufacturing partnerships. A prototype and detailed technical specifications are available for interested parties via the company’s Pittsburgh headquarters.
