Can-Am Launches Stewardship Drive for National OHV Safety Week

With National OHV Safety Week approaching, Can-Am is incentivizing off-road education by pledging $35 to Tread Lightly! for every rider who completes their free Responsible Rider Masterclass 101 course. The initiative aims to bolster trail preservation while equipping enthusiasts with essential safety and environmental stewardship skills.

The campaign is part of a broader push to ensure sustainable access to trails for future generations. Through the 'Drive 35' initiative, BRP-owned Can-Am will fund the next 2,000 course completions, directing the proceeds toward on-the-ground conservation projects across North America. The Off-Road 101 curriculum, developed in partnership with Tread Lightly!, features instruction from brand ambassadors Terry Madden and Kira Block, covering rider behavior, safety protocols, and environmental ethics.

Beyond formal training, the brand is pushing a six-point safety framework for the summer season. These guidelines emphasize practical habits such as wearing proper safety gear, remaining on designated paths to protect local habitats, and maintaining sobriety while operating vehicles. By prioritizing these practices, the company intends to minimize trail conflicts and reduce the environmental footprint of off-roading, which remains a core pillar of BRP's long-term strategy for the powersports industry.
