Integrated Research brings conversational AI to HPE Nonstop systems

Sydney-based Integrated Research is integrating its Iris conversational AI layer into the Prognosis platform to monitor HPE Nonstop environments. By enabling natural language queries, the company aims to simplify the management of complex, high-volume infrastructure that underpins critical operations in finance, retail, and telecommunications sectors.

The expansion allows IT teams to bypass traditional, siloed specialist tools by querying the system directly about performance, capacity, and system health. According to Ian Lowe, CEO at IR, the intent is to transform complex telemetry into actionable insights, effectively democratizing access to technical data for broader business stakeholders and executives.

Iris for Nonstop functions by synthesizing real-time telemetry from the Prognosis platform. Operators can pose specific questions—such as inquiries regarding CPU usage or network traffic trends—and receive context-rich explanations with recommended steps for incident resolution. Beyond troubleshooting, the tool supports proactive capacity planning and batch workload management across hybrid, virtual, and edge-deployed Nonstop environments. The capability is available immediately as part of the Prognosis 13.3 release.
