Pigtails & Crewcuts partners with Atlanta Ronald McDonald House

The initiative aims to offer a sense of normalcy to families whose lives have been upended by medical crises. Beyond providing salon services, the partnership seeks to alleviate the strain on caregivers and siblings who often overlook their own needs while supporting a patient. Cori Weatherford, Family Services Manager at Ronald McDonald House, noted that these events provide a rare opportunity for families to focus on self-care.

This collaboration builds on the brand’s longstanding history with hair donation programs. Since 2016, the Buckhead salon has facilitated over 500 hair donations for Wigs For Kids. The salon’s manager, Charmaine Hayes, along with stylists Kat and Jose, have earned certification as Wigs For Kids service providers. They are now trained to measure children for custom hairpieces, allowing them to provide fitting and styling services in a familiar, comfortable environment. Franchise leaders intend to expand this certification program to other locations nationwide to support children facing hair loss due to cancer, alopecia, or other medical conditions.
