The leadership change arrives as Klöckner Pentaplast seeks to capitalize on recent balance sheet improvements. Chairman Andrew Berlin noted that the company is currently focused on leveraging its financial foundation to drive innovation, while the board initiates a formal search for a permanent successor to Villaquiran.

Zacka brings three decades of experience to the role, having previously held senior positions at Amcor plc and Tetra Pak. During his tenure at Amcor, he oversaw a portfolio exceeding €5 billion in revenue. His background includes managing large-scale restructurings and global commercial strategies, skills the board expects will maintain momentum as the company continues its focus on sustainable packaging solutions.
