American Water Facilities Secure National Quality Honors

The facilities, spanning operations in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, and West Virginia, achieved either the Director or President level of distinction. This recognition highlights the company’s ability to consistently exceed federal and state water quality standards.

"We consistently deliver water that meets or surpasses drinking water standards so that when our customers turn on the tap, they can trust that their water is safe," said Cheryl Norton, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at American Water. She emphasized that these awards reflect the work of staff who have maintained service reliability for the company’s 140-year history. American Water serves approximately 14 million people across 14 states and maintains a parallel focus on wastewater optimization through its participation in the Partnership for Clean Water.
