At the 17th Summer Davos in Dalian, Yidu Tech founder Gong Yingying argued that the path to faster drug accessibility lies in building a robust evidence layer. By transforming fragmented clinical data into structured, verifiable insights, the company aims to bridge the gap between AI development and real-world patient outcomes.

Gong outlined a four-layer architecture for medical AI during the "Faster Drugs, Better Access?" panel, emphasizing that raw data lacks the utility required for clinical decision-making. Yidu Tech’s approach centers on a proprietary "AI Medical Brain" known as YiduCore. This system standardizes healthcare information to create a traceable evidence pool, which acts as the foundation for clinical trials and drug research. As of September 2025, YiduCore has processed nearly 7 billion medical records across 10,000 institutions.

Beyond basic data processing, this infrastructure optimizes the drug development lifecycle. It assists researchers in trial design and patient recruitment, addressing bottlenecks that historically plagued the pharmaceutical industry. By automating quality control and real-time validation, the platform reduces the risks associated with manual clinical oversight. These efficiencies extend into the post-marketing phase, supporting reimbursement decisions and the expansion of treatment indications.

Addressing the complexities of international expansion, Gong noted that healthcare AI cannot follow a "one-size-fits-all" global model. Because healthcare delivery is tied to local policies and data sovereignty, firms must prioritize deep localization. She pointed to Yidu Tech’s work with the BruHealth platform in Brunei as a blueprint, where the company co-manages digital health services while strictly adhering to local data privacy regulations. For Yidu Tech, the ultimate measure of success remains the ability to translate technical infrastructure into accessible, trustworthy clinical care.
