Alisa Bearfield Named to Lead CGI Federal

After a nearly 30-year career navigating the complexities of U.S. government technology, Alisa Bearfield will take the helm of CGI Federal on October 1, 2026. She steps into the role as current president Stephanie Mango transitions to a global executive position within the parent organization.

Alisa Bearfield Named to Lead CGI Federal

Bearfield inherits leadership of a division comprising 8,000 professionals tasked with delivering digital infrastructure for defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. Her appointment follows a period of industry recognition, including a 2026 Fed100 award and a spot on the 2025 FORUM IT 100 list for her contributions to government digital transformation. CGI President and CEO Tim Hurlebaus cited her track record in managing large-scale, secure digital programs as the primary driver for her selection.

Stephanie Mango, who has led the federal unit during a period of significant mission-critical service, will relocate to a broader operational scope. As the new Executive Vice-President and Chief Administrative Officer for CGI’s global operations, she will oversee enterprise processes and the integration of agentic AI across a workforce spanning 40 countries and 94,000 employees. For Bearfield, the immediate priority remains bridging the gap between emerging commercial technologies and the specialized security requirements of federal clients.
