The new Keeper Teams App connects directly to the platform’s Secrets Manager and Commander Service Mode, ensuring that all cryptographic operations remain within a customer’s infrastructure. By bringing request and approval workflows into the Teams interface, the integration aims to eliminate the workarounds that occur when security processes become too cumbersome for daily operations. According to CTO and co-founder Craig Lurey, the goal is to align the secure path with the most efficient path for users.
The app supports five primary workflows, including time-limited access for vault records, one-time share requests, and real-time approvals for Endpoint Privilege Manager elevation. When requests for privileged access are submitted, the system enforces zero standing privilege, automatically rotating credentials once the access window expires. This design ensures that no permanent footprint remains after a session concludes.
