The platform, which claims a 98.7% task-completion rate, operates entirely within existing Slack environments to eliminate the friction of external apps. During its beta phase, Chaser scaled to over 500,000 users across 1,000 companies. Founders Josh Martow and Alex Steshenko designed the system to convert routine internal messages into tracked workflows, effectively turning Slack into a comprehensive project management hub.
The integration with Claude fundamentally shifts the dynamic between humans and AI assistants. While most tools function as one-way interfaces where users delegate work to AI, Chaser allows Claude to assign follow-up actions to teammates. For instance, if Claude completes a research document, it can autonomously assign the necessary review or approval tasks to the correct person in Slack. To maintain security, the system operates on Slack’s existing permission model and requires explicit human authorization before Claude can modify any project data.
