Residential real estate has historically functioned as a supply-centric industry, relying on anecdotal evidence to gauge buyer interest. While Premarket has spent recent years centralizing off-market inventory into a searchable network, the demand side remained largely opaque. By absorbing Maklare AI, the company aims to move beyond static transaction data, applying machine learning to structure buyer behavior and intent signals that currently vanish after initial conversations.
Premarket Acquires Maklare AI to Launch Real Estate Demand Intelligence
As private real estate listings increasingly fragment into siloed brokerage networks, Premarket is moving to bridge the information gap by acquiring AI startup Maklare AI. The deal brings co-founder Oliver Wenner on board as chief operating officer to integrate predictive demand analytics into the company’s existing private listing infrastructure.

Integrating these capabilities across Premarket’s $4 billion active New York City portfolio creates a unified view of both supply and demand. Brett Helberg, founder and CEO of Premarket, noted that this consolidation is essential to rebuilding market infrastructure on more transparent terms. For Wenner, the acquisition offers a path to scale the AI systems he built at Maklare, transforming how agents interpret directional market intent. Integration efforts are already underway as the company prepares for national expansion beyond its current New York City base.
