Life Time Opens Massive Pickleball-Focused Club in Northbrook
With 28 dedicated courts and 114,000 square feet of athletic space, Life Time North Shore has officially opened at 1300 Techny Road. The new facility serves as the 16th Chicago-area location for the brand, positioning itself as a primary hub for both amateur and professional pickleball tournaments in the Midwest.
Recovery and family amenities remain central to the site’s design. A dedicated recovery space currently offers cold therapy, metabolic testing, and compression technology, with a comprehensive coed hydrotherapy suite—featuring saunas and cold plunges—scheduled for a fall debut. For families, the Kids Academy provides childcare and movement studios for children as young as three months. Membership at the North Shore location provides reciprocal access to other Chicago-area clubs, including those in Evanston, Vernon Hills, and Lake Zurich, as Life Time continues its expansion in the region toward a planned 2027 opening in Naperville.
