The Honda dealership located at 6500 Capitol Drive has officially transitioned to Group 1 Honda Greenbelt, marking the latest step in a national brand alignment strategy. The move, effective May 12, 2026, aims to integrate the Maryland location into the broader retail network of the Houston-based automotive giant.
Management emphasized that the alignment is intended to foster a more consistent customer experience across the company’s 250-dealership footprint. Beyond the main showroom, the facility’s on-site collision center has also been renamed Group 1 Honda Greenbelt Collision to match the new identity. This change is part of a wider push by the international retailer to simplify its brand architecture, helping consumers recognize and navigate its network of 37 vehicle brands more easily across the U.S. and the U.K.
