The expansion will leverage the 637-meter elevation drop between the Tyssevatn reservoir and Storfjorden. By installing two 75 MW Pelton turbines, the site will reach a total capacity of 150 MW, significantly outpacing the 64 MW output of the existing plant, which will be modernized and retained for additional power. Aker Solutions is tasked with delivering the full suite of electromechanical components, including generators, control systems, transformers, and inlet pipes.
