The Phase 2 drilling consists of eight holes designed to test extensions of known copper and gold deposits. Previous exploration at the site, which sits within the prolific Iberian Pyrite Belt, revealed significant mineralization across only a small fraction of a three-kilometer-long target. With the majority of that corridor remaining untested, Pan Global aims to capitalize on recent geophysical and geochemical surveys that identified multiple new drill targets adjacent to the existing gravity anomaly.
Pan Global Launches Phase 2 Drilling at Cañada Honda Copper Deposit
Pan Global Resources has kicked off a 2,500-meter drill program at its Cañada Honda deposit in southern Spain, marking a push to expand copper-gold mineralization. The campaign coincides with the company increasing its total Escacena Project footprint to 16,745 hectares following new mineral rights applications.
Company President and CEO Tim Moody noted that the project is scaling into a district-wide exploration effort. Beyond the current drilling, the company is preparing for a helicopter electromagnetic and magnetic survey over the expanded Escacena South area, scheduled for July. This effort is part of a broader, fully funded 20,000-meter drill program planned over the next 18 months to systematically evaluate more than 15 priority targets across the project area.
