Meijer to Open New Grocery Format Store in Livonia
The family-owned retailer Meijer will expand its Michigan footprint on August 19 with the opening of a 75,000-square-foot grocery store at 33500 Seven Mile Rd. in Livonia. This location marks the company’s 129th store in the state and its fourth dedicated to the streamlined, smaller-format grocery model.
Maureen Mitchell, Vice President of the East Michigan Region, noted that the store aims to provide convenience and value directly within the community. This launch follows the recent opening of a 47,000-square-foot location in Rochester Hills this past May. As the retailer continues to grow this specific format, it is currently hiring for various hourly, part-time, and full-time positions at the Livonia site, with applications available through the company's career portal.
