Pollo Campero Appoints Karla Patino to Lead U.S. Marketing and Sales

With over 150 locations already operating across the United States, Pollo Campero has named industry veteran Karla Patino as vice president of marketing and sales. Her appointment arrives as the fast-casual chain accelerates its ambitious roadmap to reach 250 U.S. restaurants by the end of the decade.

Patino brings two decades of brand-building experience to the Dallas-based team, having previously held leadership roles at major QSR players including Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King, Chipotle, and Subway. Her tenure as chief marketing officer for Taco Bell Latin America was marked by high-profile international artist partnerships and strategic market turnarounds across Brazil, Colombia, and Costa Rica.

Luis Javier Rodas, managing director and chief operating officer of Campero USA, noted that Patino’s arrival comes at a pivotal juncture for the company. The brand intends to lean into its heritage to deepen ties with U.S. Hispanic consumers, a demographic Patino aims to reach through a strategy she describes as deeply personal. A native of Venezuela, Patino intends to leverage her own immigrant experience to foster the brand's identity as a community-centered institution. The chain currently operates under the umbrella of Corporación Multi Inversiones, maintaining a footprint of more than 350 locations globally since its 1971 founding in Guatemala.
