CEO Mark Zuckerberg remains bullish on the company’s trajectory, citing artificial intelligence as the primary engine for its core business and future enterprise opportunities. While advertising revenue saw strong gains—supported by a 14% rise in ad impressions and a 12% increase in average price per ad—the bottom line was weighed down by significant non-operational burdens. Meta logged $2.4 billion in legal proceedings and $1.18 billion in severance expenses following the May headcount reduction.

Capital intensity is reaching new heights, with expenditures hitting $31.08 billion for the quarter. Looking ahead, the company has tightened its full-year capital expenditure forecast to a range of $130–$145 billion. CFO commentary also warned of potential future losses stemming from ongoing youth-related litigation in the United States, signaling that regulatory scrutiny remains a persistent risk to the firm's financial health.
