Reinert Logistics Places Record 500-Truck Order with Volvo
German transport firm Reinert Logistics has signed a contract for 500 Volvo FH Aero gas-powered trucks, marking the largest single order for the manufacturer’s alternative-fuel fleet to date. The agreement, finalized at the IAA Transportation fair in Hanover, signals a deepening commitment to bio-LNG for long-haul operations starting in 2027.
Volvo Trucks has now delivered over 10,000 gas-powered vehicles globally, with demand surging as markets prioritize CO2 reductions. The FH Aero models, capable of traveling up to 1,000 kilometers on a single tank, offer a viable path toward decarbonization for heavy-duty transport. With bio-LNG accounting for nearly 98.5 percent of fuel sold at German LNG stations in 2025, the transition provides a cost-effective alternative for operators navigating tax incentives and renewable energy mandates.
