A graduate of Des Moines University, she previously served as associate medical director at HarmonyCares, where she focused on clinical guideline development and staff supervision. Her career also includes founding and running her own mobile foot care practice, alongside executive leadership at the Attentive Adult Day Center in Missouri.
Aria Care Partners Taps Veda Lewis-Simmons as Podiatry Chief
Veda Lewis-Simmons, a veteran podiatrist and administrator, has stepped into the role of chief medical officer of podiatry at Aria Care Partners. Based in Overland Park, she now oversees clinical quality and operational strategy for the company’s specialized foot care services across skilled nursing facilities nationwide.
CEO John Griscavage highlighted Lewis-Simmons' dual expertise in clinical care and healthcare leadership as a key asset for the firm’s future initiatives. Aria Care Partners, which currently coordinates ancillary services for more than 3,500 skilled nursing facilities, aims to leverage her experience to refine its podiatry program and support its onsite clinical teams. Lewis-Simmons expressed an intent to build upon the company’s existing infrastructure to improve resident outcomes through consistent, high-quality care.
