A private jet is set to land at the StanCraft Jet Center on October 10, carrying 20 rescued dogs from Los Angeles. The arrival serves as the centerpiece for the annual Tails at Daylight fundraiser in Hayden, Idaho, where Anaheim-based Centaurus Financial is returning as the premier corporate sponsor.
During the event, the incoming dogs—transported by Wings of Rescue after being pulled from overcrowded Los Angeles facilities—will meet attendees before being placed under the care of the Idaho shelter. Development director Vicky Nelson emphasized that the influx of small breeds addresses a specific local need, as the facility currently struggles with an overflow of larger dogs. Last year, the fundraiser generated over $128,000, a benchmark the organization aims to eclipse through continued community sponsorships.
