San Diego Brokerage Formalizes Renovation Consulting for Homeowners

Ryan Fisher, the founder of San Diego-based Lovery Real Estate, is moving beyond traditional transaction-based brokerage by launching a formal Homeowner Program. The initiative standardizes the firm's previously informal process of providing renovation guidance, design direction, and vetted contractor access to clients long after the final closing documents are signed.

Fisher, a former professional baseball player, founded the firm in 2025 with a focus on high-touch client relationships. He identified a significant gap in the standard market model: the period immediately following a sale, when property owners are often overwhelmed by renovation decisions and lack reliable professional resources. By codifying these advisory services, the agency aims to assist clients navigating complex life events like probate, divorce, or pre-foreclosure, where managing home improvements can become a secondary source of stress.

This support extends to both sides of the market. Buyers receive guidance on project feasibility and contractor referrals to help them settle into new properties, while sellers receive assistance in preparing homes for the market. Fisher describes the model as a shift toward providing accurate, early-stage information and handling the logistical burdens that clients would otherwise have to navigate alone. Although these advisory services do not generate direct commissions, the firm maintains that prioritizing long-term client relationships remains the core of its business strategy.
