AMTA Opens Applications for $100,000 in Massage School Grants
The American Massage Therapy Association is set to open its ninth grant cycle on October 1, offering ten awards of $10,000 each to accredited massage schools. Funded by Massage Envy, the program aims to bolster training and recruitment for the next generation of professionals entering the industry.
Todd Schrader, CEO of Massage Envy Franchising, emphasized that the increased funding allows the organization to support a wider range of schools during a critical period for the workforce. Rick Greely, National President of the AMTA, noted that the grants serve as a vital resource for schools aiming to maintain high professional standards. Interested institutions must submit their applications through the AMTA website before the October 31 deadline. While Massage Envy provides the financial backing, the company holds no administrative role in the selection process and maintains no affiliation with the recipient schools.
