During her tenure at Flatiron Health from 2021 to 2025, Starrett scaled the company’s real-world evidence platform from 400,000 to over 5.5 million patient records and expanded the OncoEMR platform to support more than 4,500 oncology providers. Her background also includes global operations across the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan, as well as recent advisory work focused on the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence.

Nashville-based Thyme Companies has appointed former Flatiron Health CEO Carolyn Starrett as executive vice president of new ventures. Tasked with expanding the firm’s oncology reach, Starrett will leverage two decades of experience in clinical research and data to develop businesses aimed at fixing fractures within the cancer care ecosystem.
This appointment follows the recent launch of Thyme Companies and its successful Series E financing round. The company aims to move beyond its core Thyme Care platform to address systemic inefficiencies in how cancer treatment is delivered and financed. Starrett, who currently serves on the board of NeoGenomics, indicated that her focus will shift toward the practical navigation of the patient experience and the complexities of modern treatment options.
