The expansion signals a fundamental shift in market structure, aiming to dismantle the traditional five-day trading week. Bruce Markets, an SEC-registered broker-dealer operating the Bruce ATS, will utilize Nasdaq’s trading technology to manage the increased demand for round-the-clock access. Apex Clearing Corporation, a subsidiary of Apex Fintech Solutions, will handle the clearing, carrying, and custody services required to keep the system operational during off-hours.
Bruce Markets Readies 24/7 U.S. Stock Trading for Global Investors
Market-moving events do not pause for the weekend, and soon, neither will the U.S. stock market. Bruce Markets announced plans to launch continuous 24/7 equity trading, backed by fresh strategic capital from PEAK6 Investments and Robinhood, pending final regulatory approval for the new weekend session.

Industry participants view the move as a long-overdue modernization of financial infrastructure. By enabling investors to manage portfolios in real time regardless of the calendar, the initiative seeks to bridge the gap between global news cycles and market liquidity. While the exact launch date remains subject to regulatory review, the firm expects the weekend sessions to go live within the coming months. This development follows a period of growth for the firm, which already maintains an overnight trading window from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM ET.
