Ferrovial Secures Contract for Tennessee’s Largest Infrastructure Project
The DriveTN consortium, led by global infrastructure firm Ferrovial, has reached commercial close on the I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes project in Tennessee. This agreement marks the state's first public-private partnership and the largest single capital investment in its history, aiming to alleviate congestion between Nashville and Murfreesboro.
Work on the expansion is intended to provide more reliable travel times for commuters while simultaneously improving traffic flow in existing general-purpose lanes. Beyond the immediate transportation benefits, the initiative is positioned as a catalyst for local job creation and long-term regional development. Ferrovial, which already manages five similar express lane projects across North America, will oversee this transition as the state’s primary partner in modernizing one of its most heavily traveled routes.
