Verizon Fios Subscribers Face Impending Loss of STARZ Programming

Unless a distribution agreement is reached imminently, Verizon Fios customers may soon lose access to all STARZ channels, on-demand content, and the network’s dedicated streaming app. The standoff threatens to pull premium franchises from the provider’s lineup, leaving millions of viewers without access to exclusive original series and film libraries.

Verizon Fios Subscribers Face Impending Loss of STARZ Programming

Alison Hoffman, President of STARZ Networks, stated that the company has been negotiating in good faith to maintain uninterrupted service. She warned that removing the network from the platform would stifle competition and limit consumer choice, particularly for audiences seeking programming alternatives to content produced by larger media conglomerates.

Should the blackout occur, Verizon subscribers will lose access to flagship series including the "Power" universe, the "Outlander" franchise, "P-Valley," and "S.W.A.T. Exiles." The potential removal also encompasses the network’s upcoming slate, such as the drama "Tip Toe." While STARZ continues to position itself as a vital independent programmer, the dispute underscores the increasingly volatile nature of carriage negotiations between content creators and major television distributors.
