The collaboration operates under SEMIFIVE’s "Spec Hand-off" model, which allows Mobilint to define performance targets while delegating the complexities of design, packaging, and mass production to the ASIC provider. By shifting the entire development burden to SEMIFIVE, the companies aim to accelerate the transition from concept to commercial-grade hardware for use in sectors like agricultural robotics.
Technically, the chip is designed to handle vision and sensor data in real time without relying on external server connectivity. To achieve this, the architecture integrates high-bandwidth standards, including LPDDR6 memory, PCIe Gen6 interfaces, and UCIe-S chiplet connectivity. These components allow the device to function as a monolithic die, ensuring the power efficiency and stability required for robots operating in remote locations.
