Alison Hoffman, President of Starz Networks, accused Verizon of stalling negotiations and mischaracterizing the network's position during recent discussions. Hoffman stated that Starz attempted to secure a deal that would preserve uninterrupted service, but described Verizon’s decision to remove the channel as an unproductive move that limits viewer choice. She emphasized that Starz remains open to a fair agreement to restore programming for the subscriber base.
Verizon Fios Drops Starz After Contract Negotiations Collapse
Verizon Fios subscribers lost access to all Starz channels and streaming content on September 30 after the telecommunications giant and the premium network failed to reach a renewal agreement. The blackout affects the Starz app, on-demand services, and the entire linear television lineup previously available to Fios customers.

The removal impacts access to popular original programming, including the Power universe, Outlander, and the upcoming series Tip Toe. Customers also lose access to the network’s extensive film library and current seasons of dramas such as P-Valley and S.W.A.T. Exiles. Starz, a subsidiary of Starz Entertainment LLC, maintains that its content remains distinct in a market increasingly dominated by large media conglomerates.
