The agreement marks a shift for First Graphene from technical development to industrial-scale production. By incorporating proprietary epoxy concentrates into Aeropreg’s established manufacturing lines, the companies intend to refine graphene loading to improve material strength and durability. This process is critical for the adoption of composite materials in primary aircraft structures and other high-stress environments where precision is non-negotiable.
Aeropreg, a subsidiary of Spinteks, brings essential infrastructure to the table, including in-house resin development and AS9100-certified quality management. For First Graphene, this partnership serves as a strategic bridge to access international sales channels. Managing Director Michael Bell noted that combining the company's existing research with Aeropreg’s manufacturing capability is the necessary step to move beyond experimental trials.
