Kenneth Saag Named North American Editor of Osteoporosis International
The Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation has appointed Dr. Kenneth G. Saag as the North American Editor-in-Chief of Osteoporosis International. Beginning his five-year term on December 15, 2026, Saag will steer the journal's editorial strategy alongside European Editor-in-Chief Professor René Rizzoli to advance global bone health research.

In his capacity as editor, Saag will manage peer review processes and content development for the North American office. He intends to prioritize the journal's scientific integrity while navigating modern challenges in academic publishing, including artificial intelligence, research reproducibility, and shifting open-access mandates. He succeeds Dr. Felicia Cosman, who held the position for a decade, and will also oversee the Archives of Osteoporosis in coordination with the International Osteoporosis Foundation.
