The revised program creates two distinct cohorts: properties with fewer than 100 units and those with 100 or more. Each group will produce 100 winners every three months. By segmenting the pool, the company aims to balance the playing field, acknowledging the diversity of its growing client base across the country. All active AppWork clients are automatically entered into the selection process, which ranks communities based on the percentage of four and five-star ratings submitted by verified residents.
AppWork Quadruples Maintenance Awards to Include 200 Properties Quarterly
Starting this summer, property maintenance platform AppWork will recognize 200 apartment communities each quarter for high resident satisfaction. The expansion, developed alongside Multifamily Media Network, splits the competition into two size-based categories to ensure smaller housing developments receive fair evaluation alongside larger, high-volume portfolios.

CEO Sean Landsberg described the shift as a necessary evolution for the platform. The program previously capped winners at 50, a significant increase from its original 25-property limit. Following the announcement, the first group of winners under the new criteria will be unveiled on July 15, 2026. Successful properties earn digital badges for marketing materials and a physical crystal trophy to display on-site. Winners are announced seasonally in January, April, July, and October.
