After eighteen years of shaping workforce strategy at Union Pacific Railroad, Polly Harris is moving to Jackson, Michigan, to oversee human resources at CMS Energy. Her appointment, effective July 20, marks a significant leadership shift for the power provider as it looks to strengthen its organizational culture and talent management.
Shaun Johnson, the company’s executive vice president and chief legal and administrative officer, highlighted Harris’s background in enterprise transformation and workforce engagement as key assets. Her mandate includes overseeing succession planning, compensation, and the broader organizational design for the Michigan-based energy provider, which operates primarily through its subsidiary, Consumers Energy.
