Exton-based West Pharmaceutical Services finalized the sale of its SmartDose 3.5mL on-body delivery system on July 1, 2026. This divestiture includes the transfer of all manufacturing and supply rights for the specific device, marking a strategic shift in the company’s portfolio of injectable drug administration technologies.
West, which operates 26 manufacturing sites globally and employs over 10,000 people, reported $3.07 billion in net sales for the 2025 fiscal year. The company remains a significant player in the sector, supplying more than 41 billion components and devices annually to drug developers worldwide.
