The deal marks a strategic escalation for Capacity Sports Group, which formed in January 2026 following the merger of Prep Baseball and Bullpen Ventures. While the organization has run tournaments at the site since 2019, this transaction grants them direct oversight of the venue's core infrastructure. The site hosts millions of visitors annually, featuring eight major league-sized synthetic turf baseball fields and a versatile indoor pavilion capable of hosting 12 basketball or 24 volleyball courts simultaneously.
Capacity Sports Group Expands Footprint at LakePoint Sports
A premier destination for youth athletics, LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Georgia, is shifting its operational landscape. Capacity Sports Group announced today it has acquired the 78-acre Baseball Village and Publix Fields, while securing a lease to operate the massive 170,000-square-foot Champions Center Indoor Pavilion.

CEO Ken Kocher stated that the baseball success serves as a foundation for broader multisport growth. By integrating venue operations with their existing tournament programming, the company aims to scale its reach across soccer, lacrosse, and flag football. This move follows a series of recent acquisitions, including Play9 Sports and United Sports, as the group continues to consolidate youth sports operations under a single umbrella. President Blake Hibler emphasized that the shift allows for more cohesive event management, bridging the gap between facility infrastructure and competitive athletic development.
