HyperStrong and RCT Power Launch Malaysian Energy Storage Venture

HyperStrong, which has deployed over 60 GWh of energy storage projects across 30 countries since 2011, views the Malaysian facility as a cornerstone for its international expansion. By integrating its system expertise with RCT Power’s manufacturing footprint, the firms intend to navigate the rising demand for energy storage in the region through localized production and increased cost competitiveness.

Guanru Chen, Senior Vice President of HyperStrong International, described the move as a natural progression of the company’s global strategy, leveraging Malaysia’s industrial ecosystem to accelerate market penetration. Billy Shi, CEO of RCT Power, added that the collaboration merges HyperStrong’s integration experience with RCT Power’s manufacturing efficiency to provide high-quality delivery solutions for the Southeast Asian market. This venture marks a shift toward decentralized, high-efficiency production hubs designed to support the broader regional energy transition.
